Over the years, clinical experience has shown the importance of overcoming the social exclusion experienced by torture victims. For this reason, it is important for the treatment program to include a facet of intervention specifically centered on active social engagement.
This is achieved through a program aimed at fostering familiarity with Italian society and active participation in it.
Specifically, small groups are offered a combination of activities such as guided tours, cultural outings (exhibitions, concerts), talks with key figures (from various associations and the political world), encounters with university students, and other proposals aimed at gradually increasing their familiarity and active involvement with the life of the city and the country at large.
